Use these tools like you would any form of general exercise, where you practice regularly and with discipline to see lasting results. Consider how you use push-ups to strengthen the upper body, these aren’t much different from physical activities that build strength and endurance. The main difference is that they work with the mind and breathing in a way that strengthens the mental faculties. Each practice has a cause and effect. If you utilize one of the techniques and cause change to your mind-body , eventually you gain the effect of experiencing the benefits that technique brings.

Practicing being an observer of our internal conditions to develop awareness of your mental attention and other mind-body processes. Meeting thoughts, emotions, and sensations with an objective attitude; Focusing on breathing to enhance strength, stability, and clarity of mind.

Breathing Practice

Quieting the mind-body by connecting and modulating breath in a particular way; Strengthening diaphragmatic breathing while stimulating the relaxation response - can be used as a way to support better sleep patterns by relaxing before bed and may also support reducing tense or anxious feelings.
